"Always great and never late since 1958."

Welcome to Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department

Cold Water Fire and Rescue provides fire protection along with rescue and first responder services for the citizens of eastern Cabarrus County located between Concord and Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina. Cold Water Fire and Rescue was established in 1958 to provide fire services for the "Cold Water Community" located off NC Hwy 73 E. next to the Cold Water Creek. The original station was located at the intersection of NC Hwy 73 E. and Gold Hill Road. Due to needing additional space, a new station was built in 1989 and is presently located at 1830 Gold Hill Road. Starting in January 2007, Cold Water Fire and Rescue has had a paid member working at the station 24 hours a day, to provide a driver / responder for district coverage. Cold Water Fire and Rescue currently operates (2) Engines, (1) Heavy Rescue, (1) Tanker, (1) Brush Truck.
